JIO vs NOKIA this time, NOKIA is ready with feature phone

NOKIA 4G Feature Phone: 
Reliance Jio has launched the effective free Jio Phone, after the launch it has taken a toll on few other handsets manufacturers. From the time Reliance Jio came in the market, the other companies went down. And now, after the launch of Jio featured phone, many companies are planning to launch their smartphones and 4G Feature phones to compete with Reliance.

Already we have seen that Airtel is in talks with the new launch of its 4G feature phone at the price of Rs. 2000. After Airtel, there came a news that even Micromax is planning to manufacture such phone called Bharat One along with BSNL. Even the manufacturers like Intex and Lava are also working on the same device. Not these companies are launching its 4G feature phone in the coming months. Even Nokia is planning to enter the 4G feature phone in the market.

👉Nokia may soon enter 4G feature phone market in India

According to the reports on Economic Times, Nokia is going to enter the league with the launch of JioPhone rival. HMD Global, the maker of Nokia-badged feature- and smart-phones, may soon enter the emerging 4G feature-phone segment that is getting a huge push from JioPhone of Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio.
Ajay Mehta, India VP for HMD Global, said,
 “ JioPhone is definitely going to have an impact on the segment, and there is no question about it. We are watching how this materializes. If we see a viable business proposition, we will definitely consider it and participate. ”
Mehta said the category of feature phone is very important for Nokia brand. Nokia has four feature phones in India, even the new generation 3310 phone. He added, 
“If there is a business opportunity, for sure we are open to it…in that [feature phone] category, our brand is very strong.”
As per the research on Hong Kong-based Counterpoint, 24 million 4G feature-phones are likely to be shipped by the end of this year.
In the open handset market, Lava has already launched its 4G feature phone. It’s rival Micromax will soon launch its 4G feature phone with Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL). The tie-up offers include free voice plans.
At present, Qualcomm and Spreadtrum are giving chipsets for 4G feature phones in the country. Both the companies told to ET that multiple Indian and Chinese OEMs and ODMs have plans to launch 4G feature-phones using their chipsets.
Once, Nokia was the largest handset brand. Nokia has re-entered India with Android based smartphones. The executive of Nokia said that the response of the customer is positive.
HMD Global, launched its flagship smartphone Nokia 8 in India, last week. Now, it expects 40% to 50% increase in handset sales as it is the time of the festival. “We have already seen a healthy traction,” he added.
Mehta said,
 “We have offers for trade and consumers. We have very aggressive budgets for marketing and promotion this season.”
The executive said that the competition is very intense in India, but the brand is ready to tackle it. The company is not scared of Competition, they are happy to take it on.
The recently launched Nokia 8 smartphone in India, is priced at Rs 36,999. The phone has received rave reviews for its physical durability.
